Scalable electronics for printed solar cells

This project is supported by the Energy Technology Development and Demonstration Program (EUDP). EUDP supports private companies and universities to develop and demonstrate new energy technologies.

Technology

Printed solar cells have several unique characteristics which implies that the electronics that is necessary for conversion to grid electricity (with possible storage applications) does not exist on the market today. With this EUDP project infinityPV ApS wishes to mature the electronics so that the technology becomes broadly applicable. Today infinityPV manufactures printed solar cells on thermoplates and these can be used for carports, bike sheds, awnings, green houses, noise reduction shields alongside roads etc. and can easily address variable demands for light penetration and shading.

Projects

The project purpose is to achieve scalability in the electronics used with Printed solar cells, as this is necessary for efficient harvesting of the energy.
