infinityPV is pioneering low-cost production of organic solar cells at a large scale using an efficient roll-to-roll (R2R) processes. The R2R process offers many advantages including high throughput, high yield, scalability and freedom of design. The manufacturing facilities are custom designed and ensure a robust production in ambient conditions. Production is based on solution processing of all the layers at low temperatures at ambient conditions and the process is therefore highly energy efficient and ensures a short energy payback time compared to most of the existing inorganic solar cell technologies.
At infinityPV the R2R machinery and test equipment are designed and built to custom requirements in close collaboration with leading manufacturers in the graphic industry. The R2R process ensures manufacturing scale-up at lower capital and labor costs than previous generations of solar cells. All printing and coating steps can be highly customized and tailored to specific needs with advanced patterns and motives. The nature of the production ensures high form factor agility, since only the printing or coating heads need modifications for new designs. We can therefore offer custom designs at attractive prices.
